Nihat Karayazi

Captain Nihat (Simba) is one of our senior Turkish pilots who has been flying in Africa since 2012, with over 2,000 flight hours. He has flown in various countries, including Turkey, Russia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda, bringing a wealth of international flight experience. Captain Nihat is especially known for offering thrilling and unforgettable balloon flights over Akagera National Park.

Fluent in English and Swahili, he is highly regarded for his strong communication skills and keen attention to detail. Married with two children, Captain Nihat is considered one of the top hot air balloon pilots in Cappadocia.

Hakki Yildiz

A friendly globetrotter, Captain Hakkı has spent over 1,700 hours gracefully floating through the skies, deeply passionate about hot air ballooning. He is known for his smooth and elegant landings. From quiet countryside mornings to vibrant festival shows, he has enjoyed over 12 years of ballooning bliss.

He has flown in various parts of Turkey, including Pamukkale, Afyon, and Cappadocia, as well as internationally in Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, and the United Arab Emirates.

His teammates say he never panics when the balloon makes funny noises — and that he always keeps a tissue in his pilot bag, just in case there's a surprise marriage proposal. His flights are memorable, not just for the views but for the stories that come with them.
